Water.

It is essential to mankind. Such as air, could be called as the foundation of life. Humans can’t live without it. Too much, humans will die drowning from it.

Thus, tongues speak of a legend. A legend that may date years ago. Days, weeks, months, years. A decade. Centennial. Millennium. The tale tells of a the great drought that vanquished townsfolk. People flocked to clusters of springs in the uplands. A place where water never run out, as rivers did.

Welcome to Burauen. Where the sharp-tongued dwell, and yet people will welcome you warmly. Where goodies are made, may it be sweet or plain. Where people laugh, as if without a care in the world. Where people are hard-headed, and yet, sweet.

Welcome to Burauen, where the cold springs will draw you in.
