Sweets and biscuits. YAAAAAY!
Let me introduce you to Burauen’s Pride and Joy——
Bukayo and Galletas.
Galletas are square-shaped egg crackers with a shiny, yellow surface and characteristic up-turned corners. And sometimes, they could really make your gums bleed. With all the sharp edges, but naah. Worth it.
They are crisp things, which when you bite and munch into it, it becomes really powdery, so might I suggest that you have to chug down water as well.
Hopefully, Town Bakeshop (Beyond Bakeshop as they call themselves now) would still make these ever-lasting galletas in the future.

Local delicacy makers of Arado village in Burauen, Leyte have known the recipe to one of the most distinct, best-tasting coconut desserts in the Philippines for nearly half a century. Their best kept secret seemed to be set to stay that way – a secret – until things recently took a nutty, gastronomic turn. Bukayo really has a unique taste.
And for this sweet bits rolled into balls that look like homemade macaroons, Bukayo is a trademark of Burauen.
